News Up for Debate 24.09.2025

Congratulations to the students who represented the school at the U18 Women’s Open Debating Competition at St Paul’s Girls’ School in September. Four pairs of debaters spent the day debating motions on ‘Kidinfluencers’, the aggressive introduction of Artificial Intelligence in schools, and a hypothetical situation posing the question: if we could predict who would commit a criminal act but not what or when, should the Government engage in preventative arrests?

All of the pairs won at least one round making an excellent start to the debating season and particular congratulations to Rose and Carolina, Lower Sixth, who won two of their three rounds. Next stop: Dulwich College on 28 September!
