We are thrilled to be featured in The Week’s Independent Schools Guide in their article on the power of music and how ‘independent schools are stepping up by sharing their musical facilities, knowledge and experiences more widely in the community’. In particular, The Week focused on our community outreach singing day for local primary schools when our Year 7s were joined by around 400 pupils from Wendell Park and Brackenbury Primary Schools and performed the Challenge Your Limits Cantata composed by Director of Music, Mr Langworthy.

Mr Langworthy told The Week that: ‘The most rewarding thing was seeing pupils from across different year-groups and different schools working together, taking ownership of their work and collaborating so successfully under immense time-pressure….. We are really lucky with the resources that we have here and the provision that we offer, and we want to ensure that other pupils don’t miss out on the opportunity to see how infectiously fun music-making is.’

We look forward to future collaborations with our partner primary and secondary schools over the next academic year.
