A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Technology to join the school from 1 September 2020, to work between 0.6 and 0.8 of a full timetable (a minimum of three days per week). The post-holder will be required to teach across the school, up to GCSE.

The Technology department is divided into two areas; Food Preparation and Nutrition, and Design and Technology. Both subjects are taught from Year 7 to Year 9 inclusive. GCSE courses are offered in Design and Technology and Food Preparation and Nutrition. All courses are designed to develop practical skills and encourage creativity within the students by providing scope for them to develop their ideas into practical solutions. The post-holder would be expected to teach across both subjects from Year 7 to Year 9 and at least one subject at GCSE.

Lessons are taught in well-equipped rooms and the equipment is regularly updated to provide girls with the opportunity to develop a range of skills, including the use of computer-aided design.

All staff are expected to contribute to the thriving extra-curricular programme on offer at the School.

The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.
