The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London.  The School’s facilities are excellent, making it an exciting place to learn and work.  The students at Godolphin and Latymer receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.

Drama is a popular subject at the school and a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Drama to join us on a temporary and part time basis for the next academic year.  The contract will be fixed term from 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2023 and working hours will be FTE 0.5 to be worked over three days per week.

The post-holder will be required to teach Drama across the school.  The role will also include involvement in our extensive and extremely popular extra-curricular programme, including assisting on our productions, performed in our fantastic Performing Arts Centre in collaboration with all other key departments.

The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

Accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and responsibility.  Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity.  As a teaching member of staff you will be working directly with, and be responsible for, the children that you teach. You are also likely to have contact with other pupils on a regular basis which may include specific pastoral or other responsibilities for pupils whom you do not teach.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
