We seek to appoint a senior member of the Development team who will have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.  The role offers experience of the key aspects of fundraising and will require a skilled and dynamic individual.

As Development Manager, you will have sole responsibility for the mid-level giving cycle and, alongside the Director of Development, will manage all major giving processes; this includes securing gifts from supporters at both these levels. In line with good practice you will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to engage, cultivate and steward supporters.  You will play a key role in developing and delivering the school’s fundraising goals.

Applicants must be highly personable and as Development Manager possess will need to work collaboratively within the team and have the experience required to lead on smaller projects.

The post-holder will build on the success of the past two years, strengthening relationships with alumnae, current and past parents and staff; growing the fundraising programme and encouraging a thriving and supportive community.

This is a permanent and full time position and the hours of work are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday during the term time and 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday during school holidays, with occasional evening/weekend work required.  The post attracts 28 days annual leave in addition to public holidays.  Annual leave must be taken during school holidays and five days of the annual allowance is allocated to the School’s Christmas closure.

The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

The appointed candidate will commence in post as soon as possible on the completion of all required pre-appointment checks.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have some contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity.  In this role, you are unlikely to be working with children directly but will regularly interact with pupils who may seek your assistance or otherwise interact with you when moving around the school.
