The students at Godolphin and Latymer receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.
Both curricular Music and extra-curricular activities within Music and the Performing Arts are highly popular, leading to outstanding examination results and producing a thriving programme of exceptional events.
We currently seek to appoint an Assistant Director of Music to commence in post on 1 September 2023.
Applicants should be highly enthusiastic and well-qualified with at least a degree in Music, strong keyboard skills and a willingness to contribute to the department’s extra-curricular activities. They will have the ability to teach throughout the school, from Year 7 through to the Sixth Form. In addition, the Assistant Director of Music will have responsibility for contributing to the Music curriculum at all levels.
We encourage performance at all levels and we are supported by an experienced team of visiting Music staff.
All staff are expected to contribute to the thriving extra-curricular programme on offer at the School.

Accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and responsibility. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
All staff working in the School during the school day will have contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity. As a teaching member of staff you will be working directly with, and be responsible for, the children that you teach. You are also likely to have contact with other pupils on a regular basis which may include specific pastoral or other responsibilities for pupils whom you do not teach.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
