Temporary (maternity cover)
Full time during term time
For April 2020

The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London.

The School’s facilities are excellent, making it an exciting place to learn and work.  The bright, creative and motivated girls at Godolphin and Latymer receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.  The Sixth Form prepares its students academically for study at top universities in the UK, Europe, the USA and Canada, and offers expert support, guidance and opportunities for personal growth and development.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong administrator to join us on a fixed purpose (maternity cover) basis for up to one year, in the role of Sixth Form Administrator.  The post-holder will work full time during term time, the full weeks in which a term starts and ends, plus an additional five days over the summer holiday when the public examination results are published.  The preferred start date would be Thursday 16 April 2020.

In this varied role, the Sixth Form Administrator ensures that the day-to-day operation of the Sixth Form is as smooth as possible.  Working particularly closely with the Sixth Form pastoral team and colleagues in the Higher Education and Careers Office, the post-holder provides organisational and administrative support for the section, including for events, activities and systems.

As well as being an effective administrator, the appointed candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must be highly efficient at managing their own workload.  The ability to analyse data and use a wide variety of ICT applications is essential.  Previous experience in a similar role, or having worked in a school before, would be desirable.

The working hours will be 8.15am to 4.15pm Monday to Friday (with one hour for lunch).  The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

Fully completed application forms must be returned to as soon as possible.  Please note that applications must be made on the school’s application form.  CVs alone will not be accepted.

Applications will be considered on receipt and interviews may occur at any stage.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
