Year 9 Visit Montpellier 2019

Posted: 06/09/19

In July, Year 9 girls got the chance to begin their summer holidays honing their language skills in the beautiful Medieval city of Montpellier. As well as enjoying the glorious Mediterranean sunshine, the girls had the best opportunity to improve their French by attending language school every morning and by conversing with the French families who housed them during the trip.

The afternoons were spent exploring cobbled streets, marvelling at the city’s blend of ornate Renaissance facades and modern glass structures from some of the century’s finest architects, and learning about Montpellier’s proud history as a trading centre with links across the Mediterranean.

The girls returned to the UK having enjoyed improving their language skills, learning about the culture and history of the region, and having fun with their classmates.
