Ten lucky Year 9 girls got the chance to begin their summer holidays in the beautiful Medieval city of Montpellier. As well as enjoying the glorious Mediterranean sunshine, the girls had the best opportunity to improve their French by attending language school every morning and by conversing with the French families who housed them during the trip.
The families were extremely hospitable and taught the girls about the local cuisine and about the city. Most evenings were spent playing cards while some watched the World Cup. The girls became so fond of their French families that some were keen to switch loyalties to support France over England!
After a thoroughly enjoyable 6 days, the girls arrived back to the UK tanned and full of stories to tell their families - in French of course!
