On Friday we welcomed September's new Year 7 students to the school for a taste of learning at Godolphin.
The morning began with the girls taking part in numerous training sessions in netball and hockey on the astroturf with each activity encouraging girls to get to know each other through working in teams. As the sessions drew to a close, seeing the girls linking arms and giving each other piggy-backs really displayed the camaraderie they had learnt on the pitch as they waited to be sorted into height order for a group photo.
With the afternoon came a trip to the science labs which saw teams investigating woodlice behaviour for Biology, choosing variables and looking at what makes a successful experiment when making paper planes in Physics, and mixing sodium bicarbonate and citric acid to make their very own bath bombs in Chemistry.
The girls had a great deal of fun and certainly seemed enthusiastic about the prospect of learning at Godolphin come September!
