During half term, fourteen Year 11 students travelled to Paris with the Modern Foreign Languages department to discover the city and practise their French.
Arriving by Eurostar, the girls stayed in pairs with French families and honed their linguistic skills by communicating with them entirely in French. The girls were able to take in the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in the Musée d’Orsay, visit the Palace of Versailles, enjoy a boat trip on the Seine and, of course, visit the iconic Eiffel Tower. There were also French language lessons, a chance to shop in the Parisian boutiques and a trip to the cinema.
The weather was glorious and the girls all fell in love with Parisian life.
