Wild Aspirations: Designer Dinosaurs

The student-led workshop Wild Aspirations - designed to develop expertise in animal science - returned this week with a persuasive pitch from the co-founders of "".

Members learnt about the latest biotechnologies being used to bring extinct species back to life before carefully considering the prospect of providing for the welfare needs of their prehistoric pets. Discussions led by the Wild Ambassadors allowed members to carefully consider the ethical arguments around cloning, selective breeding and domestication.

From pocket sized Triceratops, to glow-in-the-dark Giraffatitans, this biological challenge certainly proved that designers dinosaurs are back in fashion!
