Verdi's Aida at the London Coliseum

Last Friday, GCSE and A Level Music students visited the London Coliseum to see Verdi's opera, Aida.

Performed by the English National Orchestra, Aida is a timeless story of duty, love and betrayal set against the backdrop of war. ENO’s award-winning Chorus and Orchestra masterfully tell the story of the deep conflict within Aida - her love for her homeland, and for the man tasked with waging war against it - through a compelling and powerful musical score coupled with tender lyricism.

It was a fantastic evening and the girls enjoyed witnessing the English National Orchestra demonstrate their full power in a grand and moving production.
