UVI History of Art students visit Abstract Expressionism show

Posted: 10/10/16

UVI History of Art students were privileged to visit the Abstract Expressionism show at the Royal Academy before it opened to the public on Monday morning. Viewing the huge canvases in empty rooms enhanced their experience, and gave them the opportunity to really understand the radical use of materials and exciting new processes in the work of Pollock, Rothko, de Kooning, Newman and lesser known artists such as Krasner.
