Following the end of the practice examinations, it has been a delight to hear Upper Sixth news of further university offers. As usual, some universities and departments will respond to applicants this term; however, fifteen students have already received offers from all five of their chosen universities. We are particularly delighted that offers have been given to all three students applying for Veterinary Medicine, widely accepted as one of the most competitive courses in the country. Other medical subject applicants continue to attend interviews and will be patiently awaiting the outcome well into the Spring Term.
Offers have been made by Oxford and Cambridge for a range of subjects:
Biological Sciences, Economics, English Literature, French and Russian, German and Italian, Geography, German and Classics, Human Sciences, History, HSPS, Italian and English, Land Economy, Medicine, Philosophy and French, PPE and Spanish and Portuguese.
Early acceptances have also been received from a number of top US institutions, including Dartmouth, Duke, Northeastern, UPenn, Stanford and Vanderbilt. We are very proud of our students, especially as Early Action/Early Decision admit rates have hit an all-time low this year at many of the most competitive colleges. The Regular Decision outcomes for our other US applicants will be released by the end of March.
The Higher Education and Careers Department are always on hand to offer support and guidance to girls as they consider and prepare for a wide range of exciting future pathways.
