With the halls decked with boughs of holly, tinsel and Christmas cheer, we welcomed over 2000 parents, local residents and girls to Godolphin and Latymer for another hugely successful Christmas Bazaar. The school was transformed into a winter wonderland and guests found themselves meeting Santa in his grotto, listening to the dulcet tones of our carol singers whilst eating delicious apfelstrudel and marvelling at the assortment of Christmas essentials - such as wreaths, puddings and toys - available from the stalls. There was something for all the family with the Christmas Pudding Rodeo making a comeback this year, along with a photobooth and other large inflatables for the children.
The day raised a huge £25,000 for our four charities; The Girls’ Network, Cancer Research UK, Parkinsons UK and Malaria Consortium. A portion of the money raised also went to our means-tested bursaries.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, donated, advertised and sponsored the event, and of course our willing volunteers on the day. The day wouldn’t have been the huge success it was without you! We are looking forward to next year’s bazaar.
