Spring Instrumental Concert 2019

Posted: 01/03/19

Wednesday's Spring Instrumental Concert featured a fantastic line up of our larger instrumental ensembles, with close to 200 extremely talented musicians performing for an audience of staff, parents and friends.

The percussion ensemble provided a fun opening number with the Pink Panther theme, putting the spotlight on our talented xylophone and marimba players. This was followed by the string orchestra’s lively performance of the Jig from Holst’s St Paul’s Suite. We also heard from the junior saxophone group, swing band, junior chamber orchestra, brass ensemble and concert band. The concert finished with the senior chamber orchestra performing Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and a rousing performance of the first movement of Beethoven’s Symphony no. 5.

Congratulations to all our musicians for their wonderful performances.
