The Spring Term marks the beginning of a series of events led by the Higher Education & Careers department designed to encourage the Lower Sixth girls to begin considering their pathways beyond Godolphin and Latymer.
Students and parents were introduced to a wide range of options and the support on offer from both the Sixth Form and Higher Education teams at the ‘Lower Sixth Introduction to Higher Education Evening’ on Wednesday. The differences between undergraduate study at, and the application process for, Oxford and Cambridge and other UK universities were also presented by dedicated members of the team. Furthermore, the Overseas University Applications Specialist spoke about options less close to home, which follows a meeting earlier this month about the university application process for US colleges.
Members of the Higher Education & Careers team now look forward to meeting with the Lower Sixth students individually to reflect on their academic, super-curricular and extra-curricular profiles in light of their future aspirations. We are confident tomorrow's 'Undiscovered Subjects Taster Day' attended by a wide range of universities will inspire our students, and those from twelve visiting partnership schools, to broaden their horizons.
