Sixth Form Enrichment Programme

Posted: 23/09/16

The Sixth Form Enrichment Programme really hit the ground running this week after our launch presentation last week. This Tuesday, the sixth form had a choice of four lectures to attend, each offering a unique new perspective on a subject area. This week’s titles were:

Patriotism, Nationalism, Xenophobia: When and why does love of country go too far?
What is this thing called Science?: How do we define science? How do we conduct science
Don’t Let Anyone Fool You: How to tell the difference between a good argument and a bad argument.
Queens of Syria: How can drama help refugees? How can ancient literature be relevant today?

In the photos opposite, you can see Dr Badger discussing how we ‘prove’ something in science and her audience trying to decide why astrology doesn’t quite make it as a science!

More enrichment coming next week!
