This term has been a busy one for the Raising and Giving (RaG) Team. With support from the whole school, the team have raised a phenomenal £3,000 through bake sales and collections for our chosen charities: Action Against Hunger, Doctors Without Borders, Room to Read, Macmillan Cancer Support, Disasters Emergency Committee, Hoping Foundation, Project My Girl, Toilet Twinning, Prader-Willi Syndrome Association and the British Legion.
But the work hasn't stopped there! The team have also run a Harvest Collection for local homelessness charity, The Upper Room, and the local Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank; supported the Christmas Bazaar charities by selling sweet treats at their own stall; helped out with the staff versus students debate in support of the Bursary Fund; and counted the many coppers from the House Copper Trail for Children in Need.
And that doesn’t even cover the team’s management of the incredibly valued monthly tea parties for over 30 guests and the big Christmas Tea Party for over 70 guests. These events welcome local elderly residents to the school to enjoy an afternoon of tea and bingo, with musical entertainment and drama performances from the pupils. The Christmas Tea Party is a particularly memorable one as everyone in the school is involved with making parcels.
Thank you to everyone for your generous support this term and we look forward to seeing you in January. Merry Christmas from the RaG Team!
