With the support of the whole school, the Raising and Giving (RaG) Team have done extremely well in the first half of this term, raising £1,734.49. Through bake sales and weekly collections, the amount raised will be going towards supporting the four chosen charities for this half of term: Action against Hunger, Doctors without Borders, Room to Read and Macmillan Cancer Support.
In addition to this, the RaG Team have been busy supporting a number of other great causes:
International Day bake sale: raising awareness and money for Hoping Foundation
Harvest Collection: coordinating the collection and delivery of vital goods for local homelessness charity Upper Room and the Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank
Tea Parties for local elderly residents: guests have been joining us once a month for tea, bingo and musical entertainment, with support from fantastic volunteers from Years 7, 8 and 9
Emergency Appeal: supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee in their work to help those affected by the Earthquake and Tsunami in Indonesia that took place in September. Support of this appeal will be ongoing throughout the first week back after half term.
