The PPE Forum heard from Dr Binoy Kampmark, who lectures at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, on the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula. Dr Kampmark has been involved in a series of Track II diplomatic conferences aimed at constructing a roadmap towards a nuclear-free zone in Korea. The work undertaken at these conferences has underpinned the recent and forthcoming summits between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un.
Dr Kampmark gave the twenty girls who attended the Forum a unique insight into the technical and backroom dimensions of international diplomacy, as well as sharing his first-hand perspective on crucial issues in modern International Relations. Dr Kampmark hopes to return to Godolphin later this year to give a seminar as part of the IB Global Politics course.
