National Schools' Regatta

Posted: 07/06/18

Running from the Friday till the Sunday before Half-term, the Godolphin and Latymer Boat Club participated in the National Schools' Regatta - a highlight of the rowing season.

With a large number of Godolphin rowers competing on each day, there were many outstanding performances. Our J15 four, which had to show great resilience in each round, gained a bronze medal in a tightly contested race. 0.7 seconds separated the three medals in the final! Our senior four had a courageous row in the A-final, and finished just outside the medals in 4th. Another superb performance came for our J16 four, who gained a bronze in their A-final on Saturday. We also had two J14 octos, another J15 four, J15 eight, J16 pair, J18 pair and Championship Coxless Four competing, over the three days.

Two bronze medals at the National Schools’ Regatta 2018 ranks amongst the Boat Club’s finest achievements on the national stage, and one all rowers and supporters can be exceptionally proud of.
