LEGO League Robotics Competition

Posted: 14/12/18

Last weekend, two teams of girls from Years 7 to 9 participated in the regional tournament of the First Lego League Robotics competition.  Having been coached by a number of Year 10 girls over the course of the term in the Junior Robotics Club, the teams came prepared and looking to win.

Our two teams, 'G&L Galactic' and 'Dolphin Commanders', did wonderfully well against some stiff competition.
‘G&L Galactic’ excelled in the Robot Game, nailing second position after a tense round of mission challenges.  However, it was the 'Dolphin Commanders' who caught the judges’ attention with their project. With the theme of the competition being space, the team won the Best Project trophy for their ‘Virtual Space Gym’.

Congratulations, girls!
