Thanks to the generous support of our parents and Old Dolphins, we have raised more than half the funds we need to build an interactive learning space for the Chemistry department.
The centrepiece of this project is a large, wall-mounted Periodic Table, chosen to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic system by Dmitri Mendeleev. It will feature samples of the naturally occurring elements, explain their uses, and have an interactive touchscreen with films of experiments and demonstrations. It is an excellent learning resource which will help bring life to the concepts and theories learnt in the classroom for all our students, regardless of what year they are in.
This project is funded through our Annual Giving Programme, which also raises money for bursaries.
