News IB Biologists Visit Flatford Mill 24.05.2019

The Lower Sixth IB biologists had a productive learning experience at the beautiful National Trust Field Centres Centre in Flatford Mill, Suffolk last weekend.

In idyllic, leafy countryside, the girls investigated the effects of pollution and the accumulation of macro and micro-plastic debris on freshwater biodiversity, effects of trampling on wildlife and completed some woodland species identification which included small mammal sampling and observation of small aquatic invertebrates.

It proved to be the perfect setting for girls to immerse themselves in their ecological investigations and all were able to complete an individual project in the lovely surroundings.
