Higher Education and Careers Talk at Harrow School

Posted: 01/03/19

'Reassuringly helpful!' and 'a massive confidence booster', were among the positive comments from the group of Lower Sixth students who attended the Competitive Courses talk at Harrow School on Tuesday evening. Coordinated by the Higher Education and Careers department in partnership with Sacred Heart High School, this was an opportunity to hear Dr Mark King from Christs College Cambridge explaining how top universities assess applicants, and what they are looking for at every step.  Dr King also confirmed the advice we give about what constitutes supra-curricular subject exploration and why it is important, together with providing some clear guidance about the types of supra-curricular resources available and how they should be used.
