Godolphin Staff and Pupils to Feature in Online Course!

Posted: 28/02/19

Godolphin and Latymer are to be featured in an online course put together by the Chartered College of Teaching on 'Using technology in evidence-based teaching and learning'.  Filming took place over two days in November with the film crew interviewing staff and students from Years 10, 11 and Sixth Form, as well as capturing footage of in lesson use of digital technology.  The course will be open to teachers from around the world and is a fantastic opportunity for Godolphin and Latymer to showcase how our approach to using digital technology is based around the research on what supports learning in the classroom. In particular, the course will focus on how research into the effectiveness of low stakes testing and retrieval practice has informed our use of quizzing apps such as Socrative, Quizlet and Nearpod or how video technology can be used to improve metacognition.  This latter use of technology is linked to an article written by Dr Badger recently published in the Chartered College of Teaching's IMPACT journal which you can find here:

The course is free and starts on Monday 11 March; registration at
