On a freezing Sunday 12 November, two Godolphin and Latymer School Boat Club crews competed in the prestigious Fours Head of the River Race. Racing in the Women’s Junior 18 coxed fours category, our crews would be up against the best school and club crews in the UK. With an arctic wind freezing rowers and spectators alike, Godolphin’s rowers demonstrated fantastic grit and resilience, with both crews rowing powerfully down the course. The A-crew had an amazing race, and finished 2nd in category, which is a wonderful achievement, while the B-crew finished a creditable 18th from a large field of crews. Well done to all our Senior rowers who competed so well, and successfully, against the best school aged rowers in the country.
