Last night, the Development Department were proud to open the doors to this year’s Annual Gala Dinner and Auction in aid of our Bursary Fund. Kirsty Murdoch transformed the Bishop Centre and welcomed guests to step back into the 1920s starting with beautiful music during the champagne and canapé reception followed by a sumptuous meal with lots of entertainment. The highlight of the evening was, of course, the fabulous auctioneer – our very own Development Director, Julia Hodgkins, starting off the Live Auction with a dance routine which could rival any of the greats of the era. With a gavel in-hand, the evening of live auction prizes were extremely well received, with lots of generous donors and fun bidding wars. The evening altogether made upwards of £130,000 (and still counting!) which will go directly towards our Bursary Fund. This is an incredible amount, which was made possible only by the generosity of the school community, guests and a matched pledge of £25,000 on the night!
Thank you to everyone who made the evening possible and for the fantastic feedback we have received. We will be sending out a link to the photos soon and we hope you enjoy them. If you were not able to attend and would like to make a donation to the Bursary Fund, please do so here.
