For the past few months, Godolphin and Latymer's Robotics Club has been working towards the First LEGO League Robotics competition. This year, two teams comprising years 7, 8 and 9 were entered.
As well as having to complete a robotic programming challenge, each team was able to partake in a number of fun STEM activities including an engineering challenge, meeting STEM Ambassadors and an interactive science show. With this year’s theme being HydroDynamics, the girls were also tasked with presenting solutions they had come up with for conserving water.
We were delighted that both of our teams, Xtra-Spinash and Aquapod, received the Judges Award and the prestigious Robot Game Trophy respectively. Students in both teams came home with medals to commemorate a hugely enriching and enjoyable day.
