The stage was set: the bingo balls at the ready, the carol sheets printed and the Christmas decorations hung as we opened our doors for our annual RaG Christmas Tea Party for over 70 elderly residents from our local community.
The day started with the all-important parcel packing and decorating as every Form in the school prepared parcels full of exciting goodies for each of the guests to take home with them. Come midday, the guests started arriving to beautiful music provided by our young musicians, followed by a competitive game of bingo. After many cups of tea, the guests were treated to an outstanding performance of the Year 7 Christmas Play.
With curtain calls completed, our Head Girl, Isabel Roberts, cut the wonderful Christmas cake prepared by the catering staff, and sandwiches, scones and cake were enjoyed by all. With the whole school in the Christmas spirit, the day was rounded off with some enthusiastic carol singing as we closed our doors to another successful Christmas Tea Party.
