A record number of Year 9 students participated in their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition on the weekend of 21 April.
The groups developed their navigation, camp craft and team work skills in the beautiful Chilterns countryside. With glorious sunshine during the days and bluebell season in full swing, it seemed like summer had finally arrived until a thunderstorm and torrential rain on Saturday night reminded the pupils that DofE was no holiday. Despite the challenging conditions, the girls showed resilience and positivity, approaching each day with enthusiasm.
Congratulations to all 104 pupils who passed their practice and will now go on to undertake their assessed expedition in the coming months.
