Biology Lecture Day

Posted: 07/12/18

Lower Sixth Biology students enjoyed a day of engaging lectures at the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster where eminent scientists spoke to them at length about their most recent research.

The lectures covered a broad range of topics, from exploring the possibility of life in the depths of the outer Universe; developments in molecular cell Biology; to explaining the process of publishing scientific research. The girls also had the opportunity to question the speakers further after each of the talks.

The day was a fantastic way for students to gain a better understanding of the many options that a career in science can entail whilst giving tangible examples of the possible paths open to them as they begin their journey through the Sixth Form.
