ARTiculation London Heats

Posted: 11/01/19

For ten years Godolphin and Latymer has participated in the annual ARTiculation Prize, a national speaking competition in which students deliver a ten minute presentation on a work of art of their choice. Representing the school this year was Lower Sixth student Ailsa who spoke on Bob & Roberta Smith’s 'Make Art Not War'.

After a tough internal heat, Ailsa, accompanied by our two runners-up visited the Whitechapel Gallery to compete in the London Heat. Ailsa spoke with great poise and clarity of expression, and her meticulously researched and well-written talk was described with great admiration by the adjudicator as ‘authoritative’. The artist himself would have been proud of her analysis!
