Parent Teacher and Friends Association
The school has a very active Parent Teacher and Friends Association. The Head Mistress is the Chairman, the Deputy Headmistress the Vice Chairman. There are up to five staff representatives, together with a parent representative from each of the seven years in the school. In the Lower and Middle school each form chooses one or more form representatives. All parents and teachers are automatically members of the PTFA.
The PTFA Committee meets once each term (twice in the Autumn Term), and discusses wide ranging matters of interest to parents or staff, as well as social and fundraising activities. The AGM is held in the Autumn Term.
The Association aims to ensure that all parents feel a real part of the school and school life. It encourages parents to meet up socially, as well as providing a forum for discussion. The PTFA organises an annual social evening for each year group in the school, as well as ad hoc coffee mornings, lunches, drinks or other events for individual form or year groups. During most terms the PTFA holds an event open to all parents and staff: these popular occasions are informal and inexpensive. Recent events include a Supper Quiz, Jazz Night and Murder Mystery Evening as well as an annual Barbecue and Tennis Afternoon.
The PTFA raises funds- on a small scale- to help the school. Currently committed to funding a half fee bursary and sixth form leaving prizes, the PTFA also donates a wide variety of items requested by staff or pupils. In recent years these have included new tents for DofE expeditions, a coxed four/quad sculler, planting for the grounds and funding for the Ancient Greek Breakfast Club.
These funds are raised principally through the:

- Second Hand Uniform Sales, as well as from the major social events
