In each of the first three years, girls are given opportunities to complete innovative projects. These encompass a range of different topics and promote learning in a number of areas such as: technical skills, thinking skills, and spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Each project will introduce the girls to a different specialist discipline area such as: drawing, painting, printmaking, three-dimensional form, mixed-media, and ceramics.
The promotion of core skills will form the basis of each area of study; girls will be asked to communicate through exploring and recording ideas, investigating starting points and source materials, and they will be encouraged to discuss and critically question all types of visual imagery. Using appropriate sources of information and through evaluating their own studies, girls will be asked to investigate a diverse range of work produced by other makers.
